“Cutting our expectations for a cure is a gift we can give to ourselves.” Pema Chodron, “When Things Fall Apart”
Day Eighty-Three: Hepburn by Chance
“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
Audrey Hepburn
I found this quote by accident in somebody’s email signature today. Knowing somebody lived their life like this makes me believe I can too.
Day Eighty-Two: Sunshine and Flowers
Day Eighty-One: The Last Lovin’ On Earth
Spring fashion comes along and the magazines and stores push it like its the last season there will ever be anything worth buying. Like James Brown’s line in the song Hot Pants: “You walk like you got the last lovin’ on earth.’
I would like to buy clothes , but I’m not buying that. I have felt the urge lately — for sure. It comes when I’m not breathing enough, when I don’t want to think. Ultimately I am grateful the feeling pops up anymore because it means that there is something that needs some attention.
Day Eighty: Spring is Here
Spring is here and your daily not shopping blog post is back. There is always time for mourning and that is where I needed to hiatus for a couple of weeks. Things came and went, I shopped — but for gifts that me and hubby could share. There was a case of an insane Napoleanic Hermes scarf…All these things and more in the coming posts. Life without obsessive shopping…what is that like?
